In the top right picture we are heading down off the top of Falcon Craig into the Hass 'o the Red Roads before climbing up Harfell Craig to the summit (808ms).
The picture below shows the triangulation point at the top of Hartfell. Many tops have low walls built round the triangulation points for a bit of shelter as you relax on the top and have something to eat - here I am having a wee dram on a bitterly cold day.

White Coomb is above and slightly to the left of the triangulation point and the darkly characteristic face of Carrifran Gans can be seen to the right of it.
Below we have just left the top heading back to Hass 'o the Red Roads. Carrifran is on the left, the twin tops of Saddle Yoke are just left of centre, and Ettrick Pen is just right of centre in the distance. The dark shoulder on the right edge is the Black Craig face of Swatte Fell. The rest of the pictures below take us progressively along the ridge to where we leave it half way down.

Our route now leaves behind these views into Blackhope Glen and heads SW down Nether Coomb Craig and Birnock Cloves. See Saddle Yoke for more shots of the Blackhope Glen
