15 Looking more to the north east from the top of Merrick you can again see Loch Doon. The light coloured ridge coming in from the right of the picture is the north end of the Dungeon Hills, with Mulwharchar by the right edge of the picture. The range of hills beyond the Dungeons is the north end of the Rhinns of Kells.
In the second picture I have swung the camera a bit further to the right (west). Mulwharchar is now prominent left of centre in the foreground. Loch Enoch is by the right edge of the picture. The dark hill above Mulwharchar is Carlin's Cairn. Corserine (with it's long shoulder called Meikle Craigtarson running towards us) lies to the right of Carlin's Cairn. The top of Cairnsmore of Carsphairn can be seen beyond the Rhinns of Kells on the left of the picture and Dungeon hill is on the very edge of the picture just above Loch Enoch.
