20 Here we are looking SE from Gathersnow
to the Talla
Reservoir (on the left) and the Fruid Reservoir. Below I have zooomed in on the Talla - again the colour is a bit weird but I have brought out the detail as much as I can. The Moffat hills lie to the right (south west) of Talla in this picture and the Manor Hills lie to the left. You can take the road up from Tweedsmuir past the Talla Reservoir to get to the Megget Stane which gives convenient and high access to the Manor hills. You can also of course go into the heart of the Moffat hills from there too along a couple of ridges. |
