36 On the way home to Dumfries in the car I chose to take the road by the Talla Reservoir and Tweedsmuir so that I could get a couple of pictures of the dam on the Talla for comparison with the ones on the Megget. The rain squalls were still happening as you can see above but they were disappearing just as quickly as you can see in the first picture below which shows how the road actually runs over the dam structure. The victorian lodge built at the same time as the dam (around 1899) is worth a look at too - as in the third picture. |
