06 Here we are at the fence
going up onto Capel Fell. As you can see it is definitely easier to follow
the fence line from here right on up past the trees. However as I said
I did want to catch a better angle on the view over to Crofthead as I
climbed Capel Fell so I head left once I was past the end of the trees.
In the picture below you can see the two tops of Broken Back dominating the centre of the picture and that line of trees in the previous picture is well below us now. The long slow shoulder of Crofthead where we will come down later is to the left of Broken Back and the hills with snow on them in the distance are the Lowther hills terminating near the left side of the picture with Queensberry. |
