Capel
Fell, Loch Fell and Croft Head Round

05 In the picture
above we are at the top of Broken Back looking at our route ahead onto
Capel Fell. We cross to the edge of the wood where you will find a fence
that you can follow to the top. I chose to turn left at the end of the
trees and go straight up onto Capel Fell. This is tougher but gives better
camera angles over onto Croft Head.
The picture below was taken from roughly the same place as the previous one but here we are looking SSE. The hill with the trees on it is West Knowe. We will descend along that line of trees later and climb the edge of the spangled hill on the right which is Croft Head. That shoulder of Croft Head comes to quite sharp edge and is called Cat Shoulder.
