12 In these two pictures we have begun to descend from the top of Criffel. In the one above we have used a bit of zoom and are looking north towards the Scaur hills with Cairnsmore of Carsphairn on the left of the picture.

In the picture below we have Queensberry (right of centre), Gana Hill on the left with Earncraig in between. The town of Dumfries is in the foreground.
