| 01 We did this walk from Kirkandrews to Carrick Shore - going out on the purple route and back on the blue one. Of course you could do it the other way round (blue route then purple) - and the advantage of that is that parking at Carrick Shore is definitely much easier. As you can see in the picture below there is not much space for parking in Kirkandrews and we were told that we could park at the edge of this field beyond the last house in the village where the sea fishers park. The Ordnance Survey grid reference for this is NX600481. The reference for Carrick is NX578498.
