19 Once you leave the memorial
take a northerly bearing and you will come down to this dry stane dyke.
Turn left here and follow the dyke. As you can see in the second picture
there is a very pronounced path here which you can even see
from Cairngarroch. We are getting our last look now at the Merrick and
the Dungeons and of course that is Cairngarroch coming in from the left
of the picture nearer to us. The dyke eventually just runs straight down off the hill down a fire break as you can see in the third picture. It's messy going down there and you will be over the ankles in mud unless there has been a drought. |
