09 I came forward onto the front edge of the Rig of the Jarkness to get these shots.
Where we came round the shoulder and into the Gairland Burn Valley and the track up to Loch Enoch are both quite clearly visible in the top picture.
The first picture below shows the view straight across the valley up onto the Buchan Ridge. Can you see the wee figures of the guided group? I have zoomed in on them for you in the bottom picture. This gives you some idea of the scale of things. Maybe the fugitive Bruce watched from up here 700 years ago as his enemies passed up this glen in search of him. You might find them hard to see from up on the rig but you could certainly hear them well enough as they chatted to each other.
