04 In the above shot we are looking back towards the derelict mine buildings as we start our day's climb. That's Cairnsmore of Carsphairn in the background on the left of the picture.
In the second picture you can clearly see the saddle between Cairnsgarroch and Meaul that we will come down into off the Rhinns.
In the third picture Stuart is having a look back at Cairnsmore of Carsphair. It's the month of July and the grass is quite long as you see but not at all difficult.
On the Cairnsmore of Carsphairn web gallery there is a view from the Cairnsmore hills back to the Rhinns of Kells which shows the whole range of the Rhinns and this might be quite useful to have a look at at this stage if you are not familiar with these hills.
