19 For what it is worth here is the trig point on the top of Corserine. It has often been like this for me when I get there - flat, featureless and nothing to see because of the low cloud, yet I know there are good views up into Ayrshire from here. It is very easy to lose your sense of direction in what is the same view all round for 360 degrees. The compass is a must here.
The second picture was taken as I headed east from the top and the cloud thinned enough for a few seconds so that I could see back westward to the ridge that runs down to Carlin's Cairn from Corserine.

The third picture shows another brief shifting glimpse I got of Polmaddy Gairy.
The deep corrie that lies between these two arms that reach north was funneling the strong wind together in an attempt to blow me off the hill and I had to crouch as I tried to walk eastward.
If you would like to see some views from the top of Corserine on a day when you can see what's around you try the Rhinns from Craigencallie web page. If you would like to see a view from the north Rhinns looking back into this cauldron try North Rhinns from Green Well of Scotland web gallery.
