10 Here we have topped out on North Gairy and we are heading north west up it to where it meets Polmaddy Gairy - with the snow on it. There is an aircraft crash site just to the right of where this picture was taken on the edge of the Gairy.
The view west (below) over to Corserine told me what I had half expected - the low cloud had not burnt off. Corserine has had a habit of doing this to me over the years. The top of Corserine lies through there in the mist. So immediately I knew I would not get all the fine shots and great views that I had come to the Rhinns for - west over to the rest of the Galloway Hills; the Dungeon Hills and the Awful Hand range.
