09 Heading onward now from Millfire to Corserine we get a fine view of the Dungeon Hills with the Awful Hand range beyond.
The first picture below shows the long slow climb up onto Corserine. Meikle Craigtarson is the shoulder running off from it to the left (west).
As you can see in the map on the left there are actually five arms - like a star fish - running off the top of Corserine. We are coming in from the south, Meikle Craigtarson as you see runs west, North Gairy runs south east, to the north the Rhinns of Kells ridge continues up over Carlin's Cairn, Meaul and Coran of Portmark and finally, the ridge of Polmaddy Gairy runs off Corserine to the north east.
The second picture below just catches a moment as we come across the saddle before climbing Corserine.
