08 In the picture above we are near the top of Fauldside Hill looking north to where the pass (which we will use later) comes over from the Ettrick Water valley to Moffatdale. The watershed which you see here is on the 480 metre contour.
Looking south west in the second picture we can see the double top of Crofthead with its long ridge running down to Moffatdale.
