04 Here we are a bit higher up on Chapelgill.
The shoulder coming across the picture from the right is Glenlood Hill and
if you were to take the red route as shown on page
01 you would come down that shoulder to the road at the end of your
day's walk. The red asterisk slightly to the right of centre shows exactly where the car was parked. You can see that the road crosses Holms Water just to the right of the asterisk, so you could come off the ridge directly to the car without having to go right to the end of Glenlood's shoulder and you don't need to find a bridge across the water as I had to do coming off Glenlood higher up the valley (out of the picture and to the right). |
