Glenkirk house with Congrie Hill and Chapelgill Hill beyond. Glenkirk house with Congrie Hill and Chapelgill Hill beyond. Glenkirk house with Congrie Hill and Chapelgill Hill beyond.
03 This is the house at Glenkirk with Congrie Hill immediately behind it and the dark base of Chapelgill Hill coming in from the right of the picture. We are looking almost due west here. Being strangers here we walked discretely clockwise round the house, but you could head down that track to the right of the house in the above picture without disturbing anyone. As you can see the house is totally fenced in and the sheep (and walkers) have total freedom to walk around it unobstructed by walls or fences.
In the picture below we are looking down on the house that you saw in the picture above as we start our climb of Chapelgill Hill and that is Glenlood Hill behind it on the other side of Holms Water valley.
Looking back to Glenkirk House from Chapelgill Hill.
