03 This is the house at Glenkirk with Congrie
Hill immediately behind it and the dark base of Chapelgill Hill coming in
from the right of the picture. We are looking almost due west here. Being
strangers here we walked discretely clockwise round the house, but you could
head down that track to the right of the house in the above picture without
disturbing anyone. As you can see the house is totally fenced in and the
sheep (and walkers) have total freedom to walk around it unobstructed by
walls or fences. In the picture below we are looking down on the house that you saw in the picture above as we start our climb of Chapelgill Hill and that is Glenlood Hill behind it on the other side of Holms Water valley. |
