07 Above is a view from the cairn on Knockendoch over the River Nith. The village of Glencaple is on the east bank near the upper left edge of the picture. The picture below shows the path crossing the saddle between Knockendoch and Criffel. You can see down into the valley of the Glen Burn below the saddle. You can walk from the cairn here to the cairn on Criffel fairly easily in around 25 minutes |
