06 These two picture show the view towards Criffel from the cairn at the top of Knockendoch in 2004 above and 2010 below. From the top of Knockendoch you descend slightly into a saddle between the two hills and then there is a reasonably gentle climb to the top of Criffel as you can see in the picture above. The route runs across the face of this shoulder rather than along the top.
