06 Going
through the trees the route is never far away from the Craigrockall Burn.
Even when you can't see it you can certainly hear it which is very pleasant.
The tree line used to be much higher than it is now - much of the wood was
felled some years ago - which was a great pity. However the felled area
is not quite so naked and ugly now as nature begins to do it's recovery
work. Below is another view of the Craigrockall Burn as we break out of the trees and get a view of Knockendoch. The recent (2012) path improvements on this route stop at the tree line and it can be very muddy from there up. |
