03 As we drive up to the car park from the A710 we get this view of Loch Kindar to our right (to the north). The smaller island that you see is a crannog - an ancient man-made island settlement. There is a good sized car park at the end of this road (see below) which was created around 2003. That's Knockendoch behind. Near the left of the picture you can see the sign which directs you to the path up onto Criffel. The OS reference for the carpark is NX 969634. |
