19 Above is the view from near the top of Scaw'd Law back to Ballencleuch Law. There was some deep snow in there in places.
In the picture below we are looking north to the Lowthers and you can see the ball on the top of Lowther Hill near the left side of the picture. As I said on page 01 I decided to head straight down from Scaw'd Law through the water catchment area for the Potrail Water which in turn is one of the two main sources of the River Clyde - Daer Water being the other main source. This hollow in the hills at the bottom of the picture is that catchment are. So from where this picture was taken I headed straight forward down there towards the rectangular walled area you see near the bottom of the picture. Beyond that fenced area you can see where the old Roman road runs from left to right across the picture just below Well Hill. I have made a larger version of this picture with the names of the various Lowther Hills added.
