18 Now we are heading from the top of Ballencleuch Law towards Scaw'd
Law. "Scaw'd" in Scots means scorched or scalded - it is hardly
either of these today. The Solway Firth lies beyond and to the left of
Scaw'd Law in this picture and the Scaur Hills lie to the right. |
