02 There is room for several cars to park at OS Ref. NS875054. To get there take the A702 - either from Carronbridge on the A76 or from Elvanfoot on the M74. Coming from Carronbridge you will find a fork on the road just before Durisdeermill. The former schoolhouse sits facing you at the point of the fork (I stayed in that house for over a year). You turn to the left there up the single track road to the top of the hill and the house called Muiryhill. Immediately beyond that you pick up the sign-posted track to "Inglestone" on your right. Carry on along that track till you come to another fork. On the point of this fork there is a sign indicating that you fork right for the Enterkin Pass -see the picture below. Click on the Map of Area link at the top of all the pages of this web gallery to see the location and how to get there. This parking place here is called "Dalveen Parking" on the map.
It was round 9.30 am when this picture was taken on 2nd May 2007. It was a beautiful morning and continued like that all day, but the haze never burned off as we had been hoping it would - so we weren't able to see a great distance as you can see in the pictures. You head north through the gate in the picture above and you are already on the historic old bridle path - just let your imagination play with the scenes and events that once must have unfolded here.
