09 From White Law we get the above view over the Kneesend ridge, past Faugh to the Durisdeer hills. Comb Law, with it's line of snow along the dyke which is looking like a jip up the front of the hill is just right of the top of Faugh and Queensberry is just left of Faugh. At this stage Rodger Law is almost hidden by Comb Law. Heading along the skyline towards the right in the picture from Rodger Law the three tops that you see are Ballencleuch Law, Scaw'd Law and Well Hill in that order.
In the picture below we are looking down to Doddin (on the left) and to where the valley of the Peden Burn runs out to the A702, with the Daer Reservoir again in the distance. The hill name Doddin has an ancient historic ring about it. The Gododdin were an ancient Brittonic people of the Lothians who had one of their main power bases on what is now Edinburgh Castle hill - the other power bases being at Traprain Law and possibly Dunbar.
