04 As we head on up from Coupland Gair onto Lousie Wood Law we get the above view to the south west. That's Green Lowther with the masts on top and Lowther hill with the ball on top - for aircraft navigation. Great Hill is coming across the picture in the foreground and Keesend is the darker ridge beyond that. All day long we will find ridges like this running east off the main string of hills and sometimes it is hard to work out which ridge is which.
Swinging the camera a little further south we see Faugh on the left of the picture below - beyond the end of Kneesend ridge. Faugh is the last top of our day's walk and we will descend across that face that you see with the line of snow across it. Beyond Kneesend you can see Stowgill Dod which is at the bottom of the Riccart Law Rig and will bring us down from Peden Head to Faugh. Comb Head is showing between Faugh and Stowgill Dod and beyond that you can just see a sliver of Cold Moss as it runs up onto Lowther Hill. See map on page 01.
