06 Above is the view for us as we come out of the fire break shown on page 05 onto the edge of the Silver Flowe. You can see that there is a bit of a track to follow. However just a few yards in from the fence you come to Cooran Lane. A "lane" is a river or burn joining two lochs - in this case the Dungeon Lochs to Loch Dee.
In the second picture we are looking SW towards Loch Dee and the Minnigaff Hills and you can see how broad the Cooran Lane is just at the point where we first encountered it. It also looked fairly deep.
However, the third and fourth pictures show that if you walk north along the bank of the Cooran Lane you very soon come to what is really a shallower and more easily crossed burn. The stones look as though they have been laid as stepping stones where Dunkie is crossing.
