11 Here we are heading away from Bennan towards Benyellary along the vehicle track that goes to the radio mast. The track will swing left (west) down off the hill once it is past the lochan that you see in the above picture, but we will head up in the lee of the dyke that you see heading up onto Benyellary. The wind was from the north east and very strong indeed so I kept to the left of the dyke as I headed up.
Without trees in the picture how could I let you see the effect of the wind in a picture? Well have a look at the second picture. That is what the wind was doing to the surface of the water in the lochan.
The third picture shows the view back to the mast on Bennan, and the wind scudding across the surface of the lochan.
