23 To get to the actual top of Lamachan you have to head south slightly off the most direct route that goes from Cambrick Hill to Curleywee via the Bennanbrack ridge - see the map on page 1 It is well worth making this minor detour especially if you go slightly beyond the summit cairn of Lamachan to where the picture above was taken. Coming in from Cambrick Hill the route was so bland, flat and broad as in the picture on page 21 after the rugged Mulldonoch. As you can see in the picture above and those to follow Lamachan has a steep east face with a bit of character.
