14 Now we are climbing out of the saddle onto Craignaw itself and we are looking SW down over slabs and boulders to the Rig of the Jarkness on the left and Buchan Hill on the right. You can just catch a glimpse of Loch Valley in the dip. Our route today so far came up the valley that you see here between the Rig of the Jarkness and Buchan Hill - the valley of the Gairland Burn. Notice the daylight through the underside of this boulder below. That was not some crazy cairn builder who left that there - it skate boarded there in the ice age itself. You can almost feel the energy of those very ancient ice flows in these hills. | |||||
