20 The granite outcrops have many lines scoured into them perhaps by some old glacier long ago. You get similar scoured granite on Cairnsmore of Fleet We have mentioned the names of many of the hills that can be seen from Cairnsmore of Dee but I have not touched on the hills to the west of Clatteringshaws Loch - on the left in the picture below. Mouseover to zoom in and see the names of these hills. This group of hills is known as the Minnigaff Hills. On the ridge between Cairngarroch and Millfore there is a rock face with the magic name of the Buckdas of Cairnbaber. |
