19 This is the view we had looking SE from the cairn on Cairnsmore out over Screel and Bengairn to the Solway Firth and the Lake District hills in the north of England beyond. In the picture below we are looking back at the cairn as we head south towards the Rig of Craig Gilbert. We were still intending to go down over the rig as we crossed these granite outcrops. Coming south off the top of Cairnsmore there are plenty of these outcrops. It reminds me a bit of the top of Craig Lee which overlooks Loch Dee at the end of the Rig of the Jarkness. The top of Craig Lee though is a wonderland of rocks.
