As you approach Loch Enoch along the ridge from Buchan Hill the ridge takes on the name Rig of Enoch. Just before the last high bit on this ridge you can easily come off to the left, and as you do this you will find the Old Man of the Merrick jutting his bearded chin out of the face of the rock (as shown below) some fifty yards to your right. | |||||||||||||||||||

here you can go down to Loch Enoch before climbing the Redstone Rig or just
