08 As we begin to enter the curved bowl in the hills we meet the Folk Burn in a series of cascades as it comes out of the bowl. On a hot day you would easily find fine pools to drop into here to cool in.
The picture below is a view back from the cascades towards where we emerged from the forest - marked with the red asterisk. So that is where you would head for if you were doing this route the other way round (ie. clockwise instead of the anti-clockwise way we are doing it).
