12 Above we are heading up onto Milldown with it's dyke snaking up the hill and the Minnigaff Hills beyond to the south west.
The picture below was taken just a couple of minutes later but we are now looking south east. The route onto the Rhinns from Fore Bush mentioned earlier (which brings you past the memorial to the shepherd Ralph Forlow at the foot of Millfire) can bring you up onto this saddle between Millfire and Milldown if you choose to come this way.
Notice how the early evening shadows are beginning to lengthen across the face of the hill - telling us we must push on.
