06 These three pictures are views across the Tweed valley as you climb Craig Head. The picture above shows Worm Hill straight across from us. You can see where the car is parked and you can see the bridge crossing the river.
The second picture shows how you begin to see the Culters as you climb higher. Culter Fell is near the left side of the picture, Chapelgill to it's right and Cardon Hill to the right of that. Worm Hill is in the right foreground keeping it's eye on my car for me. As you can see it was to be a day of dappled landcape with deep shadows of the clouds competing with the sunlight.
The third picture shows the view SW up towards the head waters of the Tweed. Gathersnow Hill is near the left of the picture and Kingledores is in the valley below it and to the left beyond the dark ridge which runs down from the right of the picture (from Middle Hill in the Culters). If you want to have a look at a convenient map showing the relationship between the Culters on the one hand and Stanhope and the North Manor hills on the other click here.
