13 In the picture above we are
looking east along the top of Hartfell Rig. The fence that you see is the
boundary between Dumfries and Galloway on this side of the fence and Borders
Region on the far side of it. This section of the walk is an easy stroll
to the top of Hartfell on gently rising terrain. In the second picture we are looking NNW over the Fruid Reservoir to Chapelgill Hill and Culter Fell (on the left edge of the picture) in the Culter Hills. In the third picture I have zoomed out to take in Tinto Hill as well (quarter way in from the left). These pictures were taken at 12.54. |
