14 This is the view south down the fence line to the low bump of Moss Law with Gathersnow Hill, where we are heading, beyond it. Sandy didn't fancy taking on Gathersnow and decided to take the brown route from page 01 back down into the valley directly from Culter Fell. You can see some of the pictures that Sandy took on his way down by clicking here.
The picture below shows the view ahead of him as he headed off Culter Fell. The blue asterisk shows where I crossed the Holms Water when I came off Glenlood Hill (which is the hill to the right of centre) and the red asterisk shows where the car was parked.
