30 All the pictures on this page were taken from the same spot on the top of Carlavin Hill as those on page 29. The dark domed-top hill in the centre of the picture is Talla Cleuch Head and the thin dark top to it's left is Garelet Hill. The Culters lie to the right of Talla Cleuch Head, Gathersnow Hill being just to the right of Talla Cleuch Head and Tinto Hill has now all but disappeared behind it.
In the second picture we have the long mass of the Lowthers running three quarters way across the picture from the right - ending at the Dalveen Pass and the Durisdeer Hills at the left of the picture.
In the third picture we have swung the camera just a few degrees to the left, Dalveen Pass is now near the right of the picture and we are now seeing the rest of the Durideer Hills
