16 In the picture above we are looking down the part of the route we have to go next - down the long shoulder off Crofthead.
In the second picture as we go down the shoulder we look back through to Ettrick Pen again - to the left of the picture - Wind Fell is in the middle of the picture.
In the third picture (from the shoulder of Crofthead) Capel Fell looks like a recumbent mammoth. You can see the trees that we walked beside earlier in the day - like a Hitler moustache on the face of the mammoth.
