17 In the foreground of the above picture is the route we went up onto Broken Back at the start of our day's walk. Beyond that is the ever present Moffat Hills beyond Moffat Dale. The sun by this time had given up trying to get through the thin cloud - hence the flat light.
In the second picture we are looking into the gully of the Selcoth Burn and where it runs down into Moffat Water. At the bottom of the gully are the trees where the car is parked.
In the third picture we are looking NNE and we get this view up Moffat Dale past Carrifran to the shoulder beside Grey Mare's Tail. That's Bodesbeck on the right of the picture.
