03 The walk from the gate towards Moorbrock house offers fine views of the hills we are going into. The house you see towards the right of the picture is Moorbrock and the hill behind it is Moorbrock Hill. The hill on the left is Beninner and you can see part of Cairnsmore of Carsphairn (covered in snow) through the valley of the Poldores Burn which runs between Beninner and Moorbrock. You can also see the track that comes up from Craigengilian running alongside the trees in the left foreground. We have parked up there in the past.
In the second picture we are at Moorbrock house. Don't take the track which you see running out of the picture on the right. Come towards where the picture was taken from and then turn left at the first junction you come to (just a few yards from the one you see above).
