04 As we reach the bottom of the hill and come out of the trees we begin to get the view that you see above over Water of Urr towards Kippford village. Around this area where Allan is walking is where you can park at the roadside.
In the first picture below we are looking SE down river with the houses of Kippford scattered along the far shore of the river and Barcloy Hill near Castlehill Point in the distance.
In the second picture below we are looking NE - up river from this same point. In the summer time there would be many yachts sitting on buoys all up and down this part of the river. Kippford is a very popular base for the sailing fraternity
