18 I was surprised to find so many people enjoying the sands on Rigg Bay (also called Croggleton Bay) - it was a warm day but overcast and the tide was still well out. However the Caravan Club has a site here and it seemed to be quite popular as we came past it. Below I have blown up sections of the above image just to catch the mood a bit better. In the second picture below I have used a lot of zoom to have a look at the very end of the headland over there on the east side of Wigtown Bay. This is actually Little Ross Island you are seeing at the mouth of the Kirkcudbright Bay.
