03 In the picture above we are emerging from the wood into the park which adjoins the main car park in the centre of Gatehouse.
The sculpture commemorates the Queen's Golden Jubilee. The main street (High Street) in Gatehouse runs across this picture just in front of the church building - which is no longer used as a church. Just to the right of this building there is a road going round to the Mill of the Fleet visitor centre where there is a restaurant and a good second hand bookshop.
