24 Here again we are looking
back up Riccart Cleuch. The vehicle track that we were on at first was on
the east side of the burn. You can see in the above picture where it crosses
the burn and heads along the other (west) side of the valley. The track
is still a bit rough but soon we hit track that you could drive an ordinary
car along no problem - as you can see in the picture below. This is the
track that is shown on the maps. You can see the Overfingland trees at the foot of Laght Hill and the track making it's way there. However that track swings in quite a long loup to the right before it gets there and I could see a rough track making a shortcut straight across the hollow, and that was the way I went. |
