11 Now we are on the final part of the climb up onto Lowther looking back in the picture above to Cold Moss.
In the second picture swinging the camera to the right we get this view south to the Durisdeer Hills. Again you can mouseover for the names of the hills.
In the third picture, swinging the camera to the left from the same place as in the first picture above and now facing ESE we get this view over the eastern shoulder of Cold Moss towards the Durisdeer hills and, near the left edge, the Ettrick hills in the distance. The track that you see in the bottom left corner of this picture is the one we will return to Overfingland by in the final stage of today's walk. Comb Law is the big white hill with the two deep gullies on it and the shoulder running to the left from it takes you down to Meikle Shag which is right opposite us on the other side of the Potrail valley when we get back to Overfingland (see page 27).
