15 In the picture above I have started to
descend and I get this view looking south. You can see Burleywhag Bothy
half way up the picture on the right. If you had gone clockwise up onto
Gana Hill you would have gone up the ridge that runs across the picture
above Burleywhag. In the pictures below (taken December 2001) you can see the view back to Earncraig and Penbreck from that ridge. In the second picture below we have zoomed in and you can see Burleywhag clearly in the middle of the picture. You can also see the steepness of the descent from Penbreck. It really is good sport coming down there. These pictures were taken on what was a very cold frosty day with fine clear light. The land is a totally different colour in it's winter dress. |
