18 Here are three pictures taken as I ascended
the Nick of the Dungeon. The first one shows the north face of Craignaw and begins to give some idea just how boulder-strewn the Nick is. The second shows the view NE over the Round Loch of the Dungeon to Corserine (in the middle of the picture) and it's shoulder Meikle Craigtarson with Carlin's Cairn just showing behind it. A "carlin" in Scots means an old man or woman or a witch. The third picture shows the north face of Craignaw again, but from higher in the Nick of the Dungeon. |
