05 Here we are heading up the front edge of the trees and looking back to where we crossed the Glenhead Burn. You stay with the Southern Upland Way until you get to the point shown in the picture below - where the SUW begins to descend to the loch (which you can see through the trees). That is a path heading off to the left from the SUW here. Take it. It is easier to see than in this photograph. I find that paths don't photograph well. From the point shown below my camera tells me that I walked for 3 minutes to the point where I made my way up to the forest track that you will see in the next picture.
